Like all independent musicians, Afri who grew up struggling and without full love of his family where he never knew where his mom who is believed to be a South African and his dad who was from Zimbabwe. His parents met in exile and Afri was grown by different families and relatives made his way to stay with his grandmother in 1995 in Alexandra and later moved in 1998 to Inanda, Durban where he spend his teen working hard to build his life. With many challenges Afri, whose real name is Thulani never gave up. He moved to his mothers sister in Pietmaritzburg where he worked as a business mogul, falling and working with the hustle. Afri now is based in Gauteng, shot a music video in Pretoria, after his last year 2018 (Music Album) that was distributed by Red Revolution and believed he was not paid even a cent on his hard sweat. Afri finally drops a single that is gaining so much popularity in all radio stations and social media platforms.
